Hey guys,

I know I can't go back and change it, but I am going crazy thinking a minor mistake on my applications.

I am a co-author of a publication in PNAS and in my primary application for one of my activity titles I wrote: "Co-author in PNAS journal publication"; Similarly, in one of my secondaries I wrote "I was an author in a PNAS journal"

One of my friends told me today that I should have just referred to it as "PNAS" and not "PNAS journal".

Do you guys think I have been making a mistake and if so do you think that it is a big deal?

It is in fact just called PNAS, however I do not believe this will have a large negative effect on your application(s). It is kind of like calling it “The ATM Machine,” that is incorrect, but no one really questions it or cares.

You're fine.

Even if they do notice it, they’ll be too impressed that you’re a PNAS author to even care.
Incorrect. Anything with an impact factor less than 10 is not even worth mentioning. 9.6 doesn't cut it.
