Have I been on SDN too much?! Inadequate?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Looking around on SDN has me tripping. I see students with great scores worried which, well, makes me worried. I know you guys hate these types of threads, and I do understand that only good scores are posted/flaunted, but I guess I'm just seeking some type of feeling of adequacy.

From my own research, I'm finding that I'm pretty much average aside from my PAT score. In addition, I'm not sure how that low OChem score will affect me. If it matters at all, I do have an upward trend. My quarter GPA's go something like 3.7-2.8-3.6-3.1-2.6-3.9-3.8 etc. They fluctuate greatly, and I don't have any explanation for it. However, my last three or four quarters were consistently high at around 3.7-3.9.

Any insight is great, thank you.

In all honesty, your stats are average...but they are average for ACCEPTED applicants. Remember, all of these applicants with great stats will get into numerous programs, but they can only attend 1. Hopefully you have applied to a good number of schools (12-15). Post interview and post dec 1st if necessary, make sure you update the schools with interest. You are not inadequate

Two things to keep in mind with SDN. 1. People are full of ****. There is a lot of grade inflation going on. 2. There are a lot of worried overachievers on here.

Your stats look decent. Don't blow the interviews and I'm sure you'll be fine. Good luck.

You've got a really good shot at getting in somewhere. Like others have said, write good secondaries and don't tank your interview and you'll be just fine. Again, your stats are average for ACCEPTED students, which means your in better shape than you probably think 😎

I think you're good! 🙂
SDN makes me panic sometimes too 😳 ...but it's addicting 😛
But remember, SDN only represents a little fraction of the applicant pool 😉
