Yes, I definitely want to know too. I've heard of one girl at UKentucky who had a baby every summer during pharmacy school. I don't want that many, but maybe one more...
we have had 2 babies in our class
one our 1st year by accident and 1 our 3rd year on purpose.
if i were going to be pregnant during school i would wait until i was pregnant during rotations and had it right after graduating.
i would not do it while enrolled.
we had no labs that would be dangerous but i think the strain on the families is tremendous.
especially if you end up having to repeat classes or something (the girl who had her baby this year is repeating at least 1 semester if not the entire year).
also you want to time it correctly so you will not be in labor during finals

There was at least one girl in my class who had a baby during the didactic portion of the curriculum. The school was year-round so there were no summers off. She graduated somewhere in the top of the class too.
And a handful of girls appeared at the graduation ceremony in various stages of pregnancy.

Thanks for the insight. It sounds to me that being pregnant in pharmacy school of course would be very hard, but doable if you want to repeat a semester or an entire year. That is a good idea about getting pregnant during rotations.
I was thinking about putting off pharmacy school for another couple of years, but I am deathly afraid of how competitive it is going to be then. Completing my education is so important to me, I don't think it would be fair on a baby to be involved with something so time consuming.
My son is 3 and I spend ALL of my extra time with him. He would suffer greatly as well. I guess the age difference will just be greater for my children as well as my husband will be 45 when I graduate (providing I get into a pharmacy school in 2006.!

one of the girls did not fall behind at all in classes. i believe she has a very very supportive husband and mother (and at the time the husband was unemployed and stayed home all the time).
just make sure you have your scheduing down!!
