Any current Hawai’i WICHE, 1st year students recall when they found out they were approved for funding last year?

Current automated email correspondence from the Hawai’i WICHE office says notice of approval may not come until later in August-September?!

Seems really hard to decide on a program if you won’t know if you’re funded until the weeks before starting classes…

Any insight is appreciated

Last year, there were only 42 Hawai'i residents that applied for vet school (let alone were actually accepted). The chances they are on SDN is pretty low.

The reason the funding may be in flux is probably due to the OBBB and states deciding how they're going to try to (potentially) fill the gaps.

I suspect the OBBB will play a huge role in WICHE funding, or lack thereof, this year…

I have yet to hear back from a human in the HI WICHE office, but I’m hoping soon!
