What are private practice groups' general feelings toward H&N pathology? Would it make one any more marketable than a Surg path fellowship or ought it be reserved for individuals who are interested in H&N academics?

Any input is appreciated, thanks

Its like a general practice thing that everyone should be able to do unless you're academic or in a bigass private (12+) group that serves a big place that gets very complex composite resection type things.

it is generally considered bread and butter stuff, like cytology is.

I was just curious if any private practice groups employ Oral and Maxillofacial Pathologists? I would be very grateful for any insight you can provide.

We have one but it is just part of his sign-out. No fellowship but he was a boarded oral and maxillofacial surgeon who got an md and went into pathology.
