  1. Podiatry Student
I am in great anticipation, waiting for August...and moving to Chicago!!!

I just landed a full time job, working with a doctor that is chief of podiatry at the hospital! It's been only my second day, and I've had practice taking and developing xrays, removing sutures, orthotics, setting up and assisting with PM's, excisions, etc! I have experience working in a medical office (derm)...but just in two days at the podiatrist office, I am reminded of why podiatry is a field that combines the most interesting areas of medicine! I am pretty excited to get a headstart and a real hands on experience working there, yipee! I just wanted to share the podiatric enthusiasm!!

CONGRATS to everyone out there who has been accepted, and GOOD LUCK to all you applicants!!

Your excitement is awesome! I'm counting down the days until I fly to Philadelphia! :hardy:

Good Luck @ Scholl, friend!

hey podchick! I am also going to Scholl this fall. Maybe we will run into each other without knowing who each one is..hahah....i am very excited too..oh also how did u get the job, did u apply somehwere, or connections? and sorry for asking but do you get paid?

Too bad you weren't joining me at the rendition of 'Moon Boot P. U.' you could quickly have that enthusiasm replaced with sadness, regret and one GIANT question mark named 'Huh.'

You could witness many of the bizaar lunar happenings from the discomfort of left stage and be a nonimportant part of a strange casting of self-important stars.

A Lunar Foote Blessing:

~May the stage dust from MBPU never blow your way or cloud your vision
~May you never cheat yourself or others in order to be a 'star'
~May your day be filled with 'instructions' who want you to genuinely succeed
~May you never need to purchase an expensive mask of sincerity in order to rejoin the regular world after 4yrs of life in a pretend existence; a false world of self-deceit.
~May you never feel the figurative sting of a cheap single action nail nipper in your back when your back is already against a wall.

podchick, congrats on landing such an awesome job. You will definitely learn stuffs that will be useful during your second year at Scholl.

thanks yall 😀

(for the member asking how i got the job, etc): I actually stumbled upon it by chance....I was interviewing for just a regular medical office job at an internist's office....I mentioned I was going to Scholl and it turns out the podiatrist next door was looking for help, so basically I went on two interviews that day. obviously I took the position at the pod office, pretty random! and yes I get paid 😀

cheers!
