Does anyone have any insight on how health care reform will impact the profession of pharmacy?
As reform is panning out it looks like there will be a mandate requiring everyone to carry a minimum level of insurance --- But it sounds like this minimum could be more of a high deductable 'catastrophic' type coverage without prescription drug benefits.
It looks like allot more people with 'pre-existing" conditions' will get health insurance coverage ---that could result in higher prescription volume. Not sure of how many folks there are like that out there so the impact on prescription volume could be negligible. Any thoughts? What else is included that is positive/negative for pharmacy?
