Health Insurance for GPR and AEGD Programs

Does anyone know if family health insurance is offered with gpr programs? Is the health insurance relatively good?

I can tell you that my AEGD offered a decent health insurance for residents, but for spouses, etc., it cost a lot per month to include them. I remember past residents complaining about it.

Insurance is generally provided, but you should check at each hospital/school

i'm doing a GPR. health insurance for the resident is free/ pay an extra $30 a month for a lower deductible, pay extra for dental and vision....health insurance for my spouse would cost $438/month! it's pretty good insurance for me, but so not worth the money for my spouse.

That's very common in residency programs.
