hey, i was looking for a book (not a text book type thing) describing u.s. health care/international health care policy . . . which describes the system/flaws/proposed solutions and maybe a little history and international health care policy comparrisons . . . has anyone come across such a book?

Best Care Anywhere is a decent overview through the lens of the VA system. It's a bit polemic at times.

Complications by Gawande is better-written but more focused on specific issues.

Understanding Health Policy by Bodenheimer and Grumbach (i think thats the author)
