Anyone get rejected, accepted, or offered an alternate position frrom Creighton since Feb 15th? I was offered a spot on the alternate list, and I don't know if the list is 10 people long or 600 people long.
 
When did you hear from that we on the alternate list? Did they call you or did you get a letter? I am also waiting to hear from Creighton.
 
Did you get the letter recently?
 
I just called Creighton today and they said I was also on the wait list given I send back a reply to the letter that has been sent out. So i dont know whether to be optimistic or not. I dont know how many people will turn down the invite after sending in their deposit.
 
I also got my alt. list letter today in the mail. I wonder how many people are on the alt. list and how many people typically come off.
 
I was placed on the alternate list at Creighton last year. I called and asked the secretary how many people were placed on the list and she said it was like 200 people and usually only 2 or 3 will be accepted off this list. I know this is probably not what you wanted to hear but just thought I'd let you know.

Hey thanks a lot. I dont' even know what they base their acceptances on, especially since they don't have an interview. I've seen people on here with excellent stats not get in at Creighton. Can they really tell that much from a picture and a few essay questions? Creighton seems like a good school though. They're really old school in they way they teach but they pump out great general dentists 👍 I wonder how it would be to live in NE and go to Creighton as someone who is not Christian. Would be an interesting experience
 
Has anyone AADSAS been updated to reflect the Alternate List status? Mine has not changed since September. Also, I talked to Dr. Ayers when they made their second reound of acceptances. He said my application was considered, but not chosen. I still haven't gotten the Alternate List letter yet. Maybe tomorrow since today is a holiday.
 
call them. i called today and they told me. not that it really matters anyway because the odds of getting in off the waitlist is pretty slim.

a chance is a chance, is better than no chance. just got my alternate list letter today from creighton. hey, crazier things have def. happened before, i know this much. Of course i do understand the stats of this chance which is highly unlikely. Regardless..... :luck: :luck: :luck:

Just heard that I am also on the Alternate List. Has anyone heard anything else?
 
Add me to the alternate list as well.

I'm guessing it's a long list!
 
So my letter says I must respond within two weeks to tell them I whether I want to be on the list or not. Who is planning on staying on the list? I am.
 
I am in the alternate list too, I received the letter today but I am not going to respond within 2 weeks so one less spot for those interested!! Alternate list is worse than getting rejected because they leave you hanging until first day of classes. The only positive thing about it is that you have met "all the requirements" for the school to accept you but too sad they don't have enough seats to have you, I am going to cryyyy!!
 
Yep, made the Creighton alt. list for the second year in a row. What a major accomplishment!!

yeah, tell me about it. I made the list 2 yrs in a row as well. This news goes nicely with my massive biochem exam today and my strep throat/developing bronchitis/sinusitis. Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! also, i love never sleeping. :scared: :scared:

OK: 3 Questions, here goes:
Is the Alt. List the same as the Wait list b/c. my AADSAS thing says I am on the wait list and I have not received any letter yet.

Is it true that Creighton really has NO interview?

How do the People at Creighton know if you are Catholic/Jesuit or not, do ppl put it on their AADSAS applications?

Yes wait listed = Alternate list you will receive a letter in a few days
Yes Creighton doesn't interview as far as I know they accept or deny or in our case they leave u hanging until august and then they reject u, it's nice to make 200 people wait for another 4 months,
3rd question I don't know, there is no question on ur application about your religion!

when u apply to creighton they send u a supplementary application in order to pay ur app. fee to them, this includes a questionarre thing.. one of the questions, which is optional, is your religion. I am Methodist and thats what i indicated.
 
I got my alternative Status letter yesterday in the mail (Feb 24)
Letter indicated to respond within 2 weeks of the dated letter (Feb 16).
I wondering how many folks are really on this list?
 
You can add another one to the list.
