I was pretty late applying (applications were sent 2.5 weeks ago), and I was just wondering how long it takes for them to contact me concerning interviews, or even with just a rejection. I applied to ICO (they told me it would be 5 weeks), PCO, SCO, and UMSL. Is it about a month or so, now that they're busy with applications and interviews all at once?

Thanks!

I think it really varies from school to school. I applied to PUCO, SCCO and Western last week at the same time and got an email from SCCO 2 days after to extend me an interview. I'm not sure how long PUCO and Western are going to take but I'd like it to be sooner than later!

I applied to UMSL. After everything was in, I heard back from them about a month after by e-mail for an invite to an interview.

I replied to a bunch of schools (10) and got everything by the end of Sept although my transcripts weren't sent out until a couple weeks into October. I have been finding out from schools over the past three weeks, with 3 still yet to reply (although IU lost my LORs...don't ask). So it does vary upon the school. I applied to SCCO and they haven't replied yet and the above poster heard back right away, so you never know really. I've gotten phone calls, emails and letters, so keep your phone on, check your email and wait patiently for the mailman everyday.

once my application was complete (i faxed over my OAT scores), it only took a week or two from PCO and NOVA.

After harassing the admissions departments for the various schools I applied to, I've heard anywhere from 2 weeks to a month for replies.

Most of the schools said if you don't hear anything in a month you should probably give a jingle and see whats going on.

yeah now that i think about it, call the schools you applied to and make sure they have ur completed application. it turns out for one of my schools that i hadn't heard from, they misplaced something so i had to resend it. then i had to wait another few weeks for a reply

Talk about timing - I just got two interview invites (PCO, ICO) for early February after asking about my applications. Will there still be many spots by then? Or will my chances be pretty slim by the end of January? It's a big expense to fly to the states...I'd want it to be worth it in the end!

You could call the schools and ask how many seats they've offered so far. I know that PCO has a larger class size, so that's definitely to your advantage. Congrats on the interviews!

Why is your interview so late? almost 2.5 months away! don't they usually give interviews within about a month or sooner that they contact you?

I'd imagine it's because I applied fairly late and a long list of people has built up on the interview list. The earliest date offered was January 27, but I'd rather do them both in one trip so I don't have to skip too many classes! I also thought it would be earlier, but oh well! As long as the seats aren't all filled by then...it gives me more time to prepare!

Whoa, that's exactly my situation!
