I just ran across a question in EK General Chemistry regarding heat capacities.
1. Substance A has a greater heat capacity than substance B. Which of the following is most likely true concerning substances A and B ?
a. substance A has larger molecules than B
b. substance B has a lower boiling point than A
c. at the same temp. the molecules of substance B move faster than A
d. Substance A has more methods of absorbing energy than B
The answer was D which i understand but I am having a hard time understanding why B is incorrect, why is it wrong to relate heat capacity and boiling points?
