Hi all,

I can't decide between Zeiss and Heine flip-ups for 3.3x or 3.5x mag. respectively.

Which of the two has:
- better build quality (longevity)
- clarity of lenses
- weight
- field of view
- declination angle (important for me)

Also, I've heard the Zeiss are quite heavy, would purchasing a head band instead of the glasses mount help with this?

Thanks!

Purely optics, I would say I have been more consistently impressed with Zeiss. However, for fit and finish at a given price point, I have seen a couple of Heine loupes that rival the Zeiss quality. What model/magnification/price are you trying to decide between?

Both are excellent, but more info would be helpful.

i have found the Heine to be exceptionally clear. both are on the "heavy" side of loupe brands, but that's the cost of better optics. i use the headstrap and have had zero issues with headaches etc. 2.5's for 5 yrs, 3.5's for 1
