Is there a way to tell the difference between Heinz bodies and Howell-Jolly bodies if given a blood smear, without knowing the patient history?

Well, methylene blue can be used for Heinz. Aside from that, Heinz are proteinaceous material and Howell-Jolly's are nucleic material. So if there's a HE stain, shouldn't the Heinz end up as a more pinkish/reddish inclusions throughout and the Howell-Jolly's as purplish inclusions?
