sHello,
-I just took my DAT on April 12, and got AA23/TS23/PAT26.
-I am majoring in Health Promotion and minoring in Bio
-My current GPA is 3.56 overall and 3.56 science.
-I have 1000+ and 3 years of volunteer service.
-Working as a dental assistant since October of 2009.
-In a couple of organizations such as National Honor Society, American Student Dental Association
-Don't really have any leadership skills =(.

I will be applying around may 15th to the three Texas schools. What are my chances of getting in at least any one of these schools, and should I apply to more schools? I don't to waste money and apply out of state which is like 100 per school I think. But if I don't get any of the Texas schools I don't want to wait like a year. What do you guys think any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Your stats are almost the same as mine!!
I have similar GPA and little higher DAT.
+1500 hrs of work
+300 hrs of volunteer
No leadership skills either.
I'm not applying this cycle.
Why don't you try more schools?
Well, I was thinking my (our) stats were pretty competitive at other schools too. 😀
Try some more schools if not financially stressed, though I think you should be getting interviews at those Texas schools.

Opening date for this cycle, as far as I know, is June 3rd.
So, you have 19 more days 👍

ahha hello twin. what is you dat score? How come you're not applying this cycle, seems like you have everything you need. Where will you be applying to? thanks for reply..
oo i will be applying with tmdsas which will open on may 3rd.
I also know some people that didn't get in with 21AA, that's why i'm scared

Im the Texas student with the 3.0GPA 21AA rejected by all 3 Texas schools. Why do you torture me with your DAT scores!!!!! jk
Im not sure what you are concerned about. Average GPA is 3.6 and 19-20AA in Texas. You got 3.56 thats like 3.6 and your DAT is way above AVG. I would be more concerned with interviews.
Can you do a break down on your scores. In your opinion do you think you could of scored that high without reading a textbook for upper level BIO courses?

I just don't see how all 3 of them would reject those stats.... Unless your planning to walk into the interview wearing nothing but diapers, I just don't see all of them rejecting you

Wow!!! You did awesome on the DAT! Your stats will most def open a lot of doors! Whenever you're free can you give us a break down on how you studied for it. My test is next month and I'm kinda freaking out. =( Thank you!
