hello how is everyone? I am fairly new. I had been reading this forum for awhile and finally decided to join, so here I am. I have a question for anyone who can help me. I have ALOT of debt and I am trying to find ways of solving the problem. You alll know how expensive school is and of of course i am still not done. I am working my way though school so i can pay of at least a little. I was thinking of debt consolidation and I found this website
http://incharge.org ,they are a debt counseling company, it really gave me some good insight into what my options are. Has anyone heard of this? or does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks

I am in school, on a short break so can't take a look at this web site. However, when you say large, what are we talking about. I mean, average med student debt at my school is $150K. And no one is worried about it. I mean if you have significantly higher debt, and you consolidate, it just extends your payment term over the longer period of time. If you have federal loans, no matter who you consolidate with, you will get the same interest rate. However, they all differ in what kind of payment options/incentives they offer etc.

wellits a little over 200k, and to me that's alot! plus other credit card debt. But I looked into http://incharge.org (the site I posted last time) I read it a little more in depth and they have other options other than just consolidation. So I feel a little better about the whole situation. Thank you for your response if you have any time check out that website. They not only have debt solutions but also budgeting advice that I found extremely helpful. Thanks again!
