Hey everyone, I'm looking for advice! Any thoughts or opinions are appreciated. This is my plan/thinking:

I am a junior right now and I can graduate this spring if I wanted to. I am very interested in getting a Masters in Public Health because I think it would be so useful as a physician. (I have looked into Masters in Science and I'm not as interested as public health) Instead of taking some filler classes my senior year I would rather spend time getting a Masters.

By the time I plan on graduating this spring my application for medical school would be sent and I should hear back for medical school when I am in my MPH program.

A few things hold me back:

1) Can you finish a MPH in just 1 year? I don't want to be taking MPH classes when medical school starts
2) Is this more of a con to medical schools than a plus?? (I can see the argument where 4 years of undergrad is better than 3, however at the same time I will still be in school for 4 years just not as an undergrad)
3) Cost, I'm not sure if MPH is alot more expensive or not

Any suggestions or advice is appreciated, thanks!

This is basically what I'm doing this year -- feel free to PM me.
