Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I am a UCLA grad, '05, and I've decided to pursue medical school. I was a Political Science major but I did complete the pre-reqs for dental and medical school. I know it's late in the game but there are a few post bacc programs out there that are still accepting applications.
I'm looking at Georgetown and U of Penn. I've heard some bad things about both of them but I think at this point I'm willing to give it a shot. I have a 3.2 non sci GPA and a 2.9 sci gpa. Are there any other programs there that I'm not considering?
I took 4 yrs off to start a business, so it's not like I've been an unproductive bum since graduating, lol. From what I hear, U of Penn is pretty difficult but I'm used to ridiculous curves in science classes. I've also done research on GTown and have heard mostly bad things about the program (extremely unorganized, indifferent attitude of professors and counselors).
Any advice for a guy like me? I'm leaning towards applying to the U of Penn program as of right now. Any feedback would be GREATLY appreciated.
ALSO, I didn't take the MCAT yet and I was going to hold off on it because some schools frown upon taking the MCAT or taking too many courses. Am I even eligible for programs such as Goucher or Bryn Mawr?
Sincerely,
