I'm going into my senior year and I haven't taken psychology yet, and only plan to apply to 1 school that requires it. I was thinking more of taking an art course as it interests me more, and since I'm also taking 3 heavy chemistry courses and doing research on the side. However, will it bring my app down if I don't take psych undergrad? I used the AADSAS guide to determine which schools need psych or not.

Do you really want to go to the school that requires psych? If you do, I'd recommend taking the psych course. If not, take the art course.

No, I don't think not taking psychology will matter to anyone except the school that requires it. It's not a significantly considered course in most cases.
