Ok, my application was submitted ages ago, and today I go to check my email and I find something from AMCAS. I open the thing and it starts off by saying...

Congratulations Chronic MD,

Your AMCAS application has completed processing on 07/30/2002. To review your application, use the print
option located on the left side of your application screen...yadda yadda yadda...bs...bs...bs

And then all this jazz about post-submission changes and faq's and whatever...

Thank you AMCAS for letting me know that my application has finished being processed. Don't mention it that it's only 5 months after the fact and I have already had a number of interviews and an acceptance. What the f**k?

Haha - I got the same thing today - Talk about being a little behind 🙂

I got the same thing in email form 2 weeks ago.

They are just not too bright.

In an earlier post, panda81 said that he/she saw his/her mailman with some "shady types", behind a tree, smokin on something wicked...Well, I think we have determined who those "shady types" are: they must be the AMCAS people, so strung out on crack that they finally realized the 2002 application is over...Or maybe it just took them a few months to come down from the crack high, for them to get things going and notify 2003 applicants of transmission/processing...

eh... dont worry about that, I got mine sometime ago (but it was well after my app was complete)

and yes amcas is on crack😀

I got that same email today. I was definately confused seeing something from AMCAS in my mailbox. Anyways, at least AMCAS did a lot better job this year than last.

I submitted way back in July, and this was the third email of this sort that I've gotten.

Yes I got the AMCASS email today and two times before after being complete in early July.

I also think there are some JHU people on crack because I received about 5 emails over the past two months saying that my secondary was incomplete even though I had filed it and paid.

Ha! You want to be confused by AMCAS? Try figuring it out when you recieve 4 emails from them, all just minutes apart. The first says your two transcripts have been recieved. The second, neither have been recieved. #3, just the undergrad scores are in. #4, just the grad. Exactly what the hell is this supposed to mean?! And where do I get some of what they're smoking?

Yea, I got that email a few weeks ago. I was gonna call and ask about it, then I realized this is the same service that produced my fully processed and verified application, which cleverly stated that my parents had no legal state of residence, and that my double major was actually a double degree.
Way to go amcas! I got to send letters to every med school to correct it too!
I've started ignoring all their emails unless they say you've been deleted from our system or something actually worthwhile.

 I got the e-mail yesterday too. I just deleted it. It's the second time I've gotten that kind of e-mail from AMCAS, both LONG after I finished and processed my application.
