Two days ago I added an additional medical school after verification, and AMCAS didn't let me click on the "update application" box, telling me that I haven't made any permissible change. Today, I added an additional LOR entry, and AMCAS still didn't let me click on the "update application" box, telling me that I haven't made any permissible change.

I emailed AMCAS, and they told me that if I am not using the latest version of Internet Explorer, certain glitch can happen. However, I AM using the latest version of Explorer!

Can anyone help me out?

This is frustrating especially since AMCAS can't even figure out what's wrong. However, both of my updated information (the added school and the LOR entry) are saved on the system.

So does this mean that my changes has indeed been saved but the system simply isn't letting me click the update button?

Is anyone going through similar things?

Try a different browser? If you see the saved changes then they most likely have been made.

I did! Showing the same thing. I've used the latest version of Internet Explorer, FireFox, and Google Chrome.

I am not going to buy a Mac so I can try out Safari.

Try it again on Monday? Maybe it is an error with their system and they will have it fixed by then. And take a deep breath.

Safari works on Windows. But if something isn't working on Chrome, IE, or FF, Safari won't make any difference.

AMCAS tends to give canned responses to emails. Give them a call on Monday and see if you can talk to someone and explain the situation. This is not an emergency, and I'm sure a solution can be reached.

Thanks

But what if the new school I added hasn't been entered into the system? AMCAS didn't have any problems accepting my credit card!

That's something to ask an AMCAS representative on the phone on Monday. If your credit card was charged, you have a record of the payment and the date, so in the unlikely chance that the school wasn't entered into the system, you can very easily contest it. Just don't worry about it until Monday, it's not the end of the world and there's really nothing you can do about it until then.

I have the same problem, but my designated schools list shows the one I added last. I didn't get to update either.

Then it is most likely a minor occurrence.

As long as the added/updated information is indeed included and send to schools in a timely fashion, we should be fine.

I am calling AMCAS either Monday or Tuesday. I'll keep you updated on this thread.

Any update on this issue?

I got an email from AMCAS this morning, and they told me that the newly added school AFTER verification has been successfully entered into the system.

I think that as long as you can see your updated application, you should be fine

I see on my Print PDF the list of schools I assigned. I dont know whether it got verified or not?
