Hey guys, I have my first NBME exam on saturday (Gross Anatomy), and I have a few questions about it. I'm in an english program in Poland and the test is mostly for the sake of the American students, so
the result does not matter that much for me since the Norwegian system is not related to this.

I know that to pass I have to do better than about 10-15% of my class (curved), and that will be no problem seeing I have been among the 16 best (of 80) 3/4 tests in Anatomy.

I'm just wondering what is viewed as a good score? I talked to a girl the year above me, and she said she just passed with 300 points. And I see people talking about 500 beeing about average.

1) Does 30 points mean you have 30% of the answers correct? (30/100)
2) If the test is curved as I said and I become nr. 15 our of 80 ppl. what % will that be?
3) What is the best to study for it? I've been doing Anatomy BRS and just bought the pretest book today (which was way harder than BRS btw). I also heard that it is little from the head! Is this true?

Sorry for sounding like an idiot, but the school haven't really explained us anything about this test, and I'm not used to this system. To be honest its kindeof awesome since it makes it easy as hell to pass lol.

The stupid thing is that we actually finished Gross Anatomy in June 09. But since we had Neurosience Anatomy the first semester 2'nd year our school has decided to put the NBME and our Anatomy practical exam at the end of our 3'de semester. I have forgot alot of the smallest details I had last year, so I'm basicly just reviewing most of the clinical and generall stuff (since the grade does not matter that much for me I won't bother cramming the details all over again for weeks when I had that last year).
