Hey all,

Can anyone tell me the layout of the UVa MD/PhD interview? I know it's two days but they've not told me anything of the schedules during the days.

I am a student (UG) at the school and unfortunately my interview falls on right when school starts. There are a lot of classes that I want to get into that I need to attend the first class for, in order to add in. I was hoping that I could slip away during some down time in the interview to add some classes, but I'll need to know what times those are.

Please Help, else I'd be left as a part time student! thanks!

I didn't get my schedule until 2 days before the interview, and in addition everyone's were different. The first day Gary Owens (the director) gives a power-point presentation, then you get a tour and lunch, then you have MD interviews. The remaining time on the first day is spent with either two prospective mentors or two members of the MD/PhD admissions committee or one of each. The second day was spent interviewing with 6-8 faculty members (pretty much them telling you about their research and allowin gyou to ask questions about it). This second day was very grueling! Check out the intransit website for more detailed information.
