Help Applying to UERM for June 2009

Hello!

I'm a Fil-Am and have decided to apply to UERM for med school this June. However, I'm confused about the application due date. I have read of someone who applied as late as April and still got accepted, but I'm not sure whether it was just for that year they were still taking in late applications and how likely I will be accepted so late in the game this year. If anyone knows a round-a-bout cut off date I would greatly appreciate it.

I haven't been able to gather my letters of recommendation yet (if the reason is very important to know, I'll post it) but will hopefully have them by mid-March. My mother has advised me to just send in my application with a note that my letters of recommenation will follow a month or two later, but do you think this is wise? As I've also not taken the NMAT, I'm scared they won't even look at my incomplete application.

(Also, just wondering, has anyone ever applied and instead of having two letters of recommendation from professors, had just one while the other was from a past employer?)

I also am applying to UERM, I'm still here in the States so I asked someone to submit my applications sans the NMAt test score. As far as I know they extended the application deadline till the end of the month. Just try to get a name when you submit so you can follow up with them your addt'l requirements.

The application for UERM is extended up until Jan. 30. By then you can still catch up with the requirements. The registrar's office will call you for the panel interview, so stay sharp with regards to the schedule. And like what greeneagle said, just try to get a name so that you can have a reference for follow-up.

tatawag ang registrar's office sayo pag iinterview ka na. yun sabi sakin. tumawag ka din sa kanila just to make sure.

I noticed it says submit original as well as xerox copies of birth certificate and diploma. Are they serious? I think I'm only going to send copies.

Also, do they have to receive the application by Jan 30th or can it be post marked by then?

Hey guys to help out.

For whatever they say "original" get it notarized and authenticated by the Philippine Consulate

However give UERM a call and ask which documents really need to get authenticated since time is getting short.

they only need copies.

they will require you with the original once you will enroll into UERM.

They have everything authetnicated and original from me, just not the nmat score.

They already have the master list anyways.

you'll submit your nmat score when you come to UERM for enrollment.

i read from your other post in another thread that you got accepted. i can say that your acceptance was too early to say the least. the UERM registrar's office announced that they will be releasing results of successful applicants this march. congrats on your acceptance!

what's your NMAT score BTW?

Yeah, they said I have to respond by mid february to confirm my spot there. Just wondering if i have to send it in by then, or when i get my uniform and other stuff when i'm in phils during may.

As for my nmat score, it wasn't bad, and wasn't great, was just good 🙂

Wow that's great. So they do phone interviews. I was hoping they can do that but I just wasn't sure . I gave my Manila address and phone number in my application form and I ve been checking back if someone has called for an appointment, so far none yet. I was hoping on calling them and possibly set up a phone interview instead. Would you know who to contact to set this up/

guys, i passed an application form at UERM, but my NMAT score is only 50 .., i plan to retake the test on april.. but i was just thinking... totoo b na kapag below 55 ang percentile na nakuha sa nmat e, hindi na nila titignan ung application form?? are they really strict when it comes to the NMAT score ?? tska when did you guys have your interview? i mean, about a week or two ba , after passing the application form ?? waaa .. paranoid na ko, kasi UERM lang ang pinasahan ko ng application form !! 🙁

Hello! I am looking for a roommate.

I'll be studying at UERM this coming schoolyear. Nakahanap ako ng decent room with a nice and very clean bathroom. Studio type ung room. Semi-coed ung building, which means na ung building is for the ladies and the gentlemen also, but different floors. They allow the tenants to bring a refrigerator and aircon inside the room. Tapos may microwave na dun sa lounge area ng building. Meron din parang semi-tambayan place dun sa first floor ng building. Ung room, Php 7000 for two persons, so 3500 per person.
