Hey Guys,

I just got into ROSS and SABA and I dont know which one to pick. I like SABA cos it's cheaper and less students. Then I like ROSS cause it's better recognized than SABA and it has more clinical rotation sites. I heard the Dominica is horrible but havent heard too much about how bad or good SABA island is. Then i like ROSS cause it has more technological stuff in classrooms and stuff like that.
Which one should I choose?

Saba has smaller classes, so I would go there. Plus it is close to St. Martin.

ROSS more recognized by WHO? Most of the Doctors I do clinicals have told me what I have posted and read on posts for years

To most Caribbean Medical school = Caribbean Medical school the only real difference is can you practice in all 50 states or not? SO really just go to where you want.

Personally I would go to SABA.

First of all congrats man,

Saba or Ross both will get the job done and you will be able to practice in all 50 states. My choice is SABA.

Good Luck.

I have heard better things about Saba than Ross from students...that is all I know.

No It don't matter that Much, SABA is a better place to live overall, We know because so many have said this

Ross has more students, and apparently its more difficult to schedule clinical rotations.

Yea this is true for all the schools from time to time, depends on many factors.

students, IMO should worry less about where the rotations are ( Mine have been in RURAL areas where there are few of us students so I get a lot of procedures) If you do them in a big teaching hospital verses a smaller one, you may end up doing less due to all the other students, for experience its sometimes better to be in lesser known teaching hosp (Like me) so you are one of the few and get it all!
To those who thin you do not see the Pathology, well Pathology is just not confined to one place, its everywhere, and 3rd year you are just beginning to see patients no one is letting you handle the complicated stuff yet anyway. 😎

Each school has its pluses and minuses. Going to Saba you will be a MD and be able to practice in all 50 states and probably save around 100K over Ross. I can't really think of anything Ross has that Saba doesn't. That being said Saba isn't going to be easy, the grading scale is 75+ for a C and we do lose quite a few students. Its always interesting on the 1st day of class to see who we lost. If you work hard and focus you can get off the island in 20 months and your home free.

I went to AUC so I have not ties to either ROSS or SABA. My Vote is for SABA.
1. Wicked nice island but not to much on it
2. Some of the best diving in the Caribbean
3. School seems to be growing and facilities are nice.
4. Smaller classes
5. close to SXM so you can shop and enjoy free time on the best island in the caribbean. (ok little plug for AUC)
