Hey guys, I've got a large list of dental schools that I was looking at..I was hoping you could give me some advice at which schools I really have absolutely no shot at..I'm a Canadian applicant (haven't written the DAT yet) with an overall gpa of about 3.6
Be as honest as you can because I'd rather hear I have no chance getting into ___ from you guys than after I waste my time and money applying.

Midwestern University
University of California, San Francisco
Loma Linda University
Western University of Health Sciences
University of the Pacific
University of Connecticut
Howard University
Nova Southeastern University
Indiana University
University of Maryland
Boston University
Harvard School of Dental Medicine
Tufts University
University of Detroit Mercy
University of Michigan
University of Minnesota
Creighton University
Columbia University
New York University
Case School of Dental Medicine
Temple University
University of Pennsylvania

Thanks for all your help.

Also, check the website "www.predents.com" you can see which schools only accept in state applicants (or a very large percentage) and cross those off your list. Also, you can roll over users' names and see where they are from (generally, 'international' means they are from Canada). You can see where other Canadians got their interviews and where they got accepted.

I'll show you with Midwestern real quick, as that's where I'm going:
It's a private school, so no preference is given to being a resident of Arizona.
There were 264 users that applied to Midwestern, including 8 that were international.
Of those 8, 5 had interviews.
Of those 5, 2 were accepted (one will be attending).

Anyway, it may take a little time (use the search option, it's quicker) but it will save you a lot of money to take a few schools off your list.

Hope that helps!

Wait I thought Midwestern was OOS-friendly (the AZ school)

Yeah, it is. They don't favor applicants from Arizona over others. They're a public school so they get to take their pick from everybody.
