Help finding a good psychiatrist please

Hi all,

I was going to post this question on Yahoo answers but i figured posting here would be a brighter idea.

Mom's been depressed lately. I don't know anyone personally who has sought a psychiatrist or psychologist so i can't get referred to one. I figure I'd need a psychiatrist for her since she's been prescribed anti-depressants by her doc, so we need someone whose qualified for the situation.

Anyway, is there a good directory? Where I can read good reviews on Psychiatrists/Psychologists?

Any advice please, you would be very much helping someone out.

You might want to check out a website called psychcentral

If your mother has insurance, medicare, or medicaid, your first step should be to contact them to locate a list of eligible providers in your area. Otherwise, you may potentially wasting your time finding someone who may not take her insurance.
