I am going through the TPR Science workbook about problems dealing with these topics (Fluids, Gauge Pressure, Bernoulli's Equation, etc.). Those who have taken the MCAT: did these topics appear? How complicated were the questions?

This section wasn't covered in either of my physics courses. Any comments will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

those topics are all fair game for the mcat. some peoples form covered them, some didnt. but there is no way to know ahead of time, so you gotta know everything.

EK and nova are both good with fluids.

These topics will be on the equations. I would say that you should just understand the relationships b/w variables in Bernoulli's, and just know the formulas for elasticity etc. I would say that no major detail or complexity is required, just know the basics.

Wow! Thanks for the replies. I didn't think this was such a big part. Now, I read in another thread that if you understand the basics about the equations and how the pressure, velocity, etc are all related that is enough. TPR Science Workbook goes in depth asking questions about:
ex. you know the weight of some object in air. You immerse it in water and it weighs a certain amount less. Calculate the specific gravity of the object.
And of course, there are other variations. I'm just wondering how in depth you need to know this material.

I really appreciate all of your responses.

Thanks again.
