Yea and if you have a smart phone there is a free app by Kaplan that has the top 500 GRE words in flashcards form. Just type in "GRE" into the marketplace.
English is my first language but I never was into reading (other than chem and bio books lol) so my verbal is lacking. I'm taking the exam in Sept and for the verbal sections so far I have memorized Dr Collins verbal section. I'm learning my root words and prefixes. I'm making flash cards for those and memorzing a letter a day so it will take roughly 18-20 days since some letters have very few to memorize. I"m also memorizing this list http://quizlet.com/300134/kaplan-gre-flash-cards/ It's the top 500 words. Should this help me on the verbal section by doing all this. Harmodiom you give a lot of good advice on these boards. Are the words from the website the best ones to lear or is there another list? Thanks
honestly from what i have heard Kaplan chem is a waist of time. I'm gonna go thru Collins chem and Im going to skim thru my ochem books first ten chapters. Hopefully that will be good enough. If someone else has better input I would appreciate it
