I sent AADSAS my transcript to to give update on my summer grades. I was wondering that when an academic update happens, do they recalculate your GPA and show it on your app or schools just see the updated grades only? My transcript got there to AADSAS on the 13th (showing on the app) but its not showing my updated GPA right now. Should I just give it some time or the original GPA will stay on my app and they see only updated letter grades?

The reason for this question is that I've been holding off my secondary payments because of my GPA situation (already have a rejection so didnt want to get more of them before they see my updated grades). To prevent rejections, I didnt send in some payments, assuming they wont reject me when they are asking me money for the supplementals.

Also, I will be retaking my DAT soon due to PAT issue (made a 16). All other sections were 18 or above. Should I tell all the schools about this or do you think it will delay my app too much? Im retaking around end of September (getting my money situation in order and then will register). I only told one school because they specifically mentioned that if you do a retake, you have to tell them so they put your file on hold. How should I proceed? Tell all the schools abt the retake or no? Thanks!!

Definitely tell all schools you're retaking the DAT.

thanks!

anyone else? what is your take on my situation?

Yeah. Just send e-mails to every school you are applying to with the future DAT date. Either that or call the admission office to make sure.

oh and does your GPA gets updated in your app when you give them academic update or no?

thanks everyone!

I believe that's the point of the academic update other than showing that you are on track to finish the prereqs.
