I have looked through the search results for Rosalind Franklin and Finch, but I can't seem to find the best way to get from O'Hare to one of the hotels recommended by Rosalind Franklin (Don't know which hotel...any recommendations?) Would flying into a different airport be easier? Also, what time does the interview end? Will I be able to make a 5:50 flight out of O'Hare on a Tuesday? Please help me as soon as possible becasue these flights are getting expensive fast. Thanks a bunch. 😀

I stayed at the Mariott ...pretty good for $69/night, and in the morning, they drive you to the school, and if you need, they'll take you back to the hotel.

I arrived at Midway airport. For public transportation, I think both O'Hare and Midway will have the train to take you down to downtown Chicago. Then, from that, you walk to Oglivie Transportation Center to take the train to Lake Bluff, North Chicago, or Waukegan (I think Waukegan is the closest one to Mariott, but I'm not sure). After that, you call American Taxi (number listed on the paper) to take you from the train station to the hotel. That was what I did.

You'll get out of your interview at 2:00 pm the latest I think. I got out around 2:00 because I got lunch, and went on the campus tour. I think O'hare is closer than Midway. I think you'll make to your flight (not guarantee though)
Hope it helps

Did you just stay one night? Or did you make your way to Midway after the interview? Thanks!

I stayed at the hotel the night before my interview. Yeah, I was lucky that one of my fellow interviewees rented a car, and he drove me to Midway after my interview [because we had the same flight]. Otherwise, I probably had to call a taxi

Can anybody else tell me when their interview day ended? Thanks! 😀

My interview was in November and we got out around 1:00ish, there was no lunch. Had two interviews, one-on-one, with a med student and the other with a doctor. Basically both interviews were relaxed and "talk about yourself"

Hey! I interviewed in beginning of January. I stayed in the Hawthorne Suites ($69 a night) and they had a shuttle that drove me to the med school in the morning. My day ended at like 1:30 (that's including the tour). I skipped the lunch because our day was over after that anyways. My flight left O'Hare at 5:45 (so yes you have plenty of time to make it!)

Also the secretaries will ask if anyone has an early flight to catch- so just let them know. They're really accommodating. Hope this helps! Good luck!

I interviewed in early Jan. as well. I was back at the hotel at 1:30 (Marriott). I didn't stay another night, but I drove into town, and left my car at the hotel and took the shuttle to the interview to avoid getting lost and parking. So you're flight will probably be fine. Oh, and I skipped lunch too.
