I took the BC RC tests at May end/early June and was scoring reasonably well (~20 average with none lower than 19 iirc). Today, I wrote ADA 07 and scored a 17... What gives? I have a feeling that the 15 minute time limit threw me off somehow, but that seems like a lame excuse. I'm 3 days away from my test date and am starting to worry. Anyone experience anything similar? What should I do in the next 3 days to remedy this?

It's possible the time threw you off. On the real test, you can devote 20 minutes to each passage. I didn't do the 2007 RC so I can't exactly relate, but I can say that the actual passages and questions on my DAT were pretty straightforward. You probably don't need to practice RC anymore. There's not much you can do besides pick your strategy.

2007 and 2009 I got around 17s on that.
Bootcamp around 20s

Actual I got 28
You can try my strategy of it helps but I found practice test from ADA harder than anything I ever practiced.

Is the 2009 RC a lot harder than BC/ the actual exam? I've only done the 2007.

Thanks, I'll give your strategy a shot. When in your studying did you devise it? As in, how many days before your actual test date? I only ask because some people advise not to switch strategies too soon before test day..

A couple of days, what I was doing wasn't working so I switched to this.

If it doesn't work in the first couple of practices you can tell if it's for you or not.

Just bootcamp
Maybe a qvault test
Do you think it's fine redoing RC tests? Bootcamp has a good layout from what everyone is saying, but there's only 5. I dont think it would be a big deal as long as I dont remember the answers right?

I've retaken like 2 BC tests, but for any answers that I happened to remember (especially ones where I knew I wouldnt get it right the first time) I would just mark wrong on purpose, so my score wouldnt be inflated.

I only redid one that I hadn't remembered. Even remembering the article will skew things because you will read faster etc.
