Help! Important Questions

Hi everyone,

I have a few questions:

1. What is the first day that you can submit the AACOMAS?
2. How soon after you apply will you be getting secondaries? I am wondering because I just started shadowing a DO and I want to wait before asking him for a Letter of Recommendation and was wondering how long I have.
3. On the AACOMAS, when you are filling out your coursework grades, you are asked to fill out your AACOM grade (or something like that) and I was wondering how you know what to fill out?

1. AACOMAS applications may be submitted now (I submitted mine last night )
2. To my knowledge, secondaries will be available around the first week of July. It takes AACOMAS a couple weeks to process your app, then each school takes a couple of weeks to view your app and send out secondary invites.
3. If your school operates on the A,A-,B+,B,B-,etc... system then your AACOMAS grade is the same. If not, then calling AACOMAS may be the best way to sort through that issue without getting mixed answers here.

I am turning mine in today! Good luck. 🙄 I thought that I read on the website that they wont start processing until June 1, but that is right around the corner so shouldnt be a problem. I have seen other posts that say when their secondaries were in last year, seems to be around July, but that is probably if you send in your primary early June and get all of your kinks with AACOMAS out of the way early. I know nothing of the AACOMAS scoreing. I would think if your school doesnt do + or - then dont worry about it. It would be nice if you could just put + on everything that you knew you almost had the higher grade, but they would never do that I suppose because then everyone would just put + for everything and they could never prove that you didnt make a higher grade.
