Ok guys this is what happened!
So i was asking around about the PRE-DENTAL STUDENTS ASSOCIATION at our university this year but no one knew any info. So i contacted the presidente via facebook and she told me that the organization was inactive and told me that if I wanted to start up again I could.
So should I go ahead and try to revive the PDSA?
It would be a great leadership oppurtunity and whole lotta fun...but here's the thing...I am probibly the shy-est guy out there...I hate, and i mean HATE speaking in front of people, and as a president I know i am going to have to, but i dont want to miss this oppurtunity...What the hell do i do?😕

Do it

You will only build upon your public speaking skills, and besides everyone has to start off some how learning to speak infront of a group of people. This would also be a great oppotunity to work on your people skillz, since thats what you will be doing as a dentist. you need to be comftorabul talking to people, and make them comftorabul trusting you.
it will only work out for the best.

I would definately do it if I were you... It will make you a better speaker, it will force you to get comfortable talking to people (you will need this as a dentist), and it will be a great resume/ ec to have
good luck to you and I hope it all goes well

Do it...but a little added advice from my own varied experiences leading groups...find a core group that you can trust. If you try to do everything yourself, you may get overwhelmed. Furthermore, finding a few dedicated other predents to work with and divide up the tasks and work, playing to each person's personal strength, will help ensure the organization outlasts you. If you don't give other people jobs to do, they won't feel invested in the organization and chances are it will die after you leave.

NIKE style. Good Luck.

Do it. You will only regret not doing it.
