The amount of organic chem on the mcat is something that i believe you can handle. Of course, it is ALWAYS easier to take the mcat when you have completed all of your prereqs.
Here is my advice to you and this is just my 2 cents:
Take the mcat in april...if you plan on applying in june...You will be behind if you take it in august. If you are good at standardized test, then you shouldn't have a problem. Everyone's advice is to apply early...and I must admit, they were right.
But if you aren't applying till the next year, then take the august..that way you will be done with the prereqs and probably won't have much school to worry about unless you are taking summer school.
The mcat, I believe is something you can study for...with the materials the prep courses give you, they will only teach you what you need to know for the mcat and that holds true. You will cover a lot more indepth topics in class and it will not help you a whole lot on the mcat. The mcat is very very basic ochem. I suck at ochem, believe me, but i still do pretty decent on my biological sciences section.
Study for it in april, take a practice test (the one aamcas sells), and that should gauge you on how you will do on your mcat. I was about a 1-2 points off of what i was scoring on practice exams...
As for psy..i'm assuming you are talking about physiology...well, i didn't even take a physiology class....that is VERY basic physiology...very easy to study..fun too and you shouldn't have a problem.
My toughest subject was verbal...how the hell do you study for that? I don't read many books and it showed. 🙂
Hope this helps you. Good luck.
