On hours:
1) Shadowing. It would help you to have other shadowing experiences. Maybe some of your scribing/MA work could apply to shadowing depending on your responsibilities.

2) Community service: keep building hours with your pantry and incarcerated re-entry programs.

3) Understand some schools will average your MCAT scores for screening. Check the MSAR and confirm with the schools on how they will approach your 3 MCATs.

3) Your purpose as a physician must clearly align with schools on your list: both MD and DO. You may want to have a coffee conversation with a few DO's.

Students often encounter challenges, and not everyone can write great essays. I want to recommend the best site of its kind, https://papersowl.com/examples/to-kill-a-mockingbird/ which offers sample essays. It can be used for various needs, whether for practice, inspiration, or simply to draw ideas. Feel free to use it to your advantage!
Wow, I find that incredibly helpful too. Thank you for sharing.

Submitted primary on 6/6/24 and am waiting for them to be verified. Need help deciding the school list, I preferred the school in the City! If you can help me narrow down the list or recommend the balanced school list from what I have. Trying to apply to only about 20 -25 max schools. I just want to get into medical school that is located in the city and does not matter the rank of the school. I think my school might be top heavy but not sure if you can help me decide, trying to stay in city like New York, Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, first then may be others. And just decent activities not very impressive at all. @Faha

What's your purpose as a physician? What's your mission alignment with the schools on your list? Have you attended any recruitment events (in-person or virtual) to connect with admissions professionals, students, or alumni?
