I have been lucky enough to be offered spots OOS to all three of these schools. Entirely unsure which to pick.

A bit of my background:
Most interested in small animal ER medicine and surgery at the moment (ofc subject to change). I have no idea which to choose, but am maybe(?) leaning away from Cornell due to tuition and COL in Ithaca. Not sure if esteem and opportunity make up for that.

As a side note, I also love outdoor activities like biking and hiking, but think all three of these places would probably be suitable for that.

Thanks so much!

West coaster here:
Look into towns and areas around both WSU and OSU.

OSU is a rural community but an easy drive to Portland or Eugene for more shopping dining entertainment etc.

WSU is on the E side of Washington and set in a rural community with a littler further drive to a metro area.

Both are great schools with a good reputation. I think you’d get a similar education at either school for SA.

Cost of living and tuition costs are both things to keep in mind as well as weather and location.
Best of luck on your decision making!

I don't know if OP would have a priority over one another, but OSU has quarters instead of semesters (I think)

I do not have a ton to add but I have heard great things about all 3 schools! WSU and Oregon might be most ideal for biking and hiking but mainly stopped by to say congratulations!

Can’t offer much but grew up near Cornell! I personally loved the area and the nature and outdoor opportunities of upstate ny is so overlooked and under appreciated in my opinion

I'm not sure what the other schools offer but if they are similar I would also pick the cheaper school. I think the curriculum would likely be similar at them all. As for ER and surgery opportunities at Cornell if it you can have a student job in the surgery or ER departments of the teaching hospital from year 1. Our curriculum has 1 cat spay built in but we have spay/neuter international trips over breaks. We also have some elective surgery and ER courses and clinical rotations in addition to core ones. Congrats on all your offers!
