Hi there

I am a Canadian applying to US schools.

My GPA is about 3.6, my science GPA is 3.7. I did not know I wanted to be a doctor until later in my degree so my first half is not only a little rough but also spotty with withdrawals and whatnot, I used to be an athlete. Not great!

However last summer I was able to score a 516 on my MCAT and I even kind of dropped the ball while studying for psyc/soc so I’m confident I can bump that up to a 518-19.

I know my GPA is low but does this leave me any good options as an international?

Do US schools adjust GPA past just science and non science?

Thanks kindly from the North.

A two-point increase from a 516 actually won't make much of a difference.

You need to do your homework on programs that accept international students, including Canadians, and then seeing what their class metrics are like. US schools will manage their preferred GPA's according to their own admissions policies.
