freshman year gpa was a 3.6ish
first semester sophmore year is probably gonna be below a 3.0 mainly because i am gonna get a D in calc 2? can i still get into med school? I am sooo frustrated because the teacher was sooooooooooooo bad!

can someone help me out? what should i do?
should i take it again? took the final today and not sure what else to do?
this is such a huge confidence crusher...

B+ orgo
A- micro econ
B english class

you can definitely still get into med school. take a deep breath... and if you actually get a D retake the class next semester while the content is still fresh. for MD schools the grades will be averaged for your cumulative GPA, but for DO schools it will be replaced.

Yeah relax lol. You'll be fine. The worst that can happen is that they'll ask you during your interview why you got a D. So just be ready to have a legit reason why you didn't do so well. One grade isn't gonna kill you!!!

You should probably just give up on the idea of being a physician, doctors can't have bad days.

J/k, you'll be fine. But seriously, why wouldn't you drop the class if you knew you were going to get a D.

Its only one class & one semester so dont hold your head down for that. I def agree with taking it the next semester while it is still fresh. Trust me I have worse grades and still ended up fine

I think the real question is what the teacher really that bad or was it something you didn't understand because I would hate for you to take another teacher & have the same issues.

yea i hated that teacher... he was just an *******. nothing more! he would curved everyones tests where a low 70 is an A but my 55% on my test would somehow still stay as an F...(long story short, I was traveling with my team and i had to take 2 of the tests at very inconvenient times and without curves because he said I did not take the same test as everyone...even though they were just with different numbers...it was the biggest load of **** I have every seen...he is just one fat tenured professor who hated athletes...
