Well I have most of my courses planned for next semester heres the list:

Orgo 2 + Lab
Psychology/Biology of Perception or Brain and Behavior
Genetics
Ecology
Metalwork + Jewlery
~Genetics Lab

Im torn between taking Genetics lab next semester or over summer. If i take it next semester, I will be at 18 credit hours which is a pretty heavy load when Im going to be studying for a DAT for most of the semester as well. But Im planning on taking Biochem over next summer and Im not sure if I want to add on Genetics Lab on top of Biochem since Im sure a 6 week Biochem course is going to be hard enough. Another factor is I do need as many science credits as possible to bring up the SGPA. Any suggestions??

be a big boy/girl..make your own damn schedule👍

hmm... unless you really need ecology or jewelry class for a prereq, i suggest dropping either one and taking genetics lab instead. labs are always better when conjoined with the lecture, a lot of the times the information overlaps.

and if not, biochem and genetics together is not too bad. its two classes. if you can budget your time well it shouldnt' be a problem

i had basically the same schedule as you minus the jewelrymaking class and adding physics. i had 18 units. (actually over 18) its doable. but maybe you might regret not concentrating on your DATs as much. unless you are graduating in 3 years and really need to cram all those classes in, you might consider rethinking this.

have u heard of such thing as undergraduate advisor? They can be helpful sometimes, but regardless u pay them money, so use their services. If u went to my school I would be able to tell u what to do, what prof to take, and when to take a class. Go to pickaprof.com and look up who teaches ur classes that semester, and what kids thought.

Ok well id like to thank those who trashed my thread, and ask the ones who actually answered my question what they were thinking trying to answer a serious question???

I basically just wanted to know whether taking biochem and genetics lab is a good idea over a 6-week summer semester vs taking it during the year bumping me up to 18 credit hours when I have to study for the DAT. I have to take ecology, I put the metalwork and jewlery making class in there because I think it would look good on my application (I will be applying at the end of this year).

PS. the advisors here kinda suck and my advisor doesnt have any appointments open until finals week....and im choosing classes next wendesday.

PPS. I understand you all have a lot of anxiety right now, but Im just trying to work my way to where you are now.
