I'm trying to register for the DAT and come across the school report selection page. It says that schools not selected now will cost 25$ later on. So can I just select all 59 schools and not pay the 25 fee?
Please help me with this if you have already been thru the registration process.
Thanks!

From what I understand the first 5 schools are free and any additional school is 25/school. so i wouldn't want to select all 59 schools =). I mean unless you want to pay $1350. I think you can add schools later however check out the pre-dental section of this forum. there are some threads regarding that some schools don't even need official scores anymore because it will be reported on your application.

I believe they changed it. So now its $285 and you can pick as many schools as you want for $285. If you want to add them later it will costs more.

Before it used to be $225 and you could only pick 5 schools for free.

If you are paying $285 then it you can/should be able to pick as many schools as you want and not get charged extra.

"Testing Fees

The DAT fee is $285 effective July 1, 2010. If the schools you requested participate in a standardized application service, e.g., the Associated American Dental Schools Application Service (AADSAS) or the Texas Medical and Dental Schools application Service (TMDSAS), the scores will be provided to the schools directly and through the application service. Schools selected at the time of application are included in the DAT fee regardless of the number of schools selected. You can also request that a score report be sent to your predental advisor at no charge at the time of application. Your personal copy of the score report issued at the Prometric Test Center is an "unofficial" report that is subject to audit as part of the DAT quality review process. Falsification of score reports or misrepresentation of a score report may result in cancellation of your scores and a two-year wait to retest. To send an official score report to yourself or alternate institution after you have submitted a DAT application, the fee is $25 per report."

So if you registered after July 1st. You can pick as many schools as you want for $285.
