Hi guys

I took my DAT on July 28th Monday and this is my score.

American DAT (July 2008)
PA: 19
QR: 20
RC: 17
Bio: 21
GC: 21
OC: 29

TS: 22
AA: 22

I also took Canadian DAT (Feb 2008)
PA: 20
RC: 15
Chem: 19
Bio: 18
TS: 18
AA: 17
Carving:23

Should I send my Canadian official score to dental schools?
On my application form, I put "future DAT" (future American DAT) when I sumitted my application.

Should I update both Canadian and American DAT marks?

help me.🙁

anyone???? 🙁

Did you plan on going to school in Canada? I think you should include both results in you application. Send both to the dental schools.

Thanks for the reply!!!

I'm a Canadian resident applying to American dental school

Do you think my low mark on Canadian DAT have negative impression?
Kinda worried. 😕

I don't think so.
They'll probably see it as two attempts at the DAT since your 2nd attempt(american) DAT has far better score than the previous attempt it might be interpreted as an improvement. I could be wrong. Why did you attempt the Canadian DAT in the first place? Were you thinking of applying to Canadian schools?😕

Yes, I was going to apply Canadian dental schools but changed my mind and decided to apply American dental schools.

For Canadian applicants, did you guys put your Canadian DAT score as well as American DAT score on AADSAS???
Do I have to?

Any other comments? plz??? 🙁

Actually I am in the same predicament. But NOTHING states that you have to include both scores. The scores on AADSAS are SELF-reported, so you can only report one. Nowhere does it say that you have to include both scores. It goes without saying that if it does come up in interviews/secondaries, then you have to be truthful, but you are in no way being dishonest by only sending one set of scores. That's what I'm going to do. I'm only applying to schools in the US. I'm taking the Canadian DAT in november. If I don't do well, I'll take the US DATs later on and only send those in.

Maybe I don't have to send the "official" Canadian score, but should I at least update my AADSAS application?

There is absolutely no reason for you to do that. As far as they're concerned, canadian DAT scores are for canadian schools only (or hell, maybe you were just curious about this whole carving thing). Nowhere do they say that you HAVE to report both sets of scores.

I stand corrected. But I would ask AADSAS and a school that the OP is not applying to double check. If you ask a school that the OP is applying they'll probably tell him to send it in.
