I took the DAT 2 times, here are my original and 2nd set of scores after a kaplan class that I took:

subject 1st-2nd

PAT 20-19
Quant 18-19
Reading comp 19-19
Bio 16-18
Gen Chem 16-16
Organic Chem 17-19
Total Science 17-17
Academic Average 17-18

What are my chances of getting in with the low gen chem :/ should I take it again 90 days from now? I still plan on applying, which schools would be good options? I'm an indiana resident.

My GPA is a 3.84, ive graduated and I had a lot of extracurriculars in college.

Hi Goalie,

Here are the stats for Indiana University School of Dentistry 2014 entering class

Science 3.5
Total 3.5

DAT Scores
AA 19.3 mean range 15-28
PAT 19.5 mean range 14-26
TS 19.0 mean range 15-28

You should definitely contact them with your stats or any other schools you would like to attend.

Take care..Nancy

FYI - I think a retake is probably needed. But again the dental schools make the decision not me and you have quite a nice GPA, that counts a lot.

I also utilized the DAT destroyer for Biology and it really helped, didn't use it enough for gen chem I guess. I have the 2014 edition. I'll plan on applying and using that to study for next go 90 days from now! Thank you!
