I felt that Kaplan, First Aid, BRS Path, and Qbank was plenty and all you needed. I wouldn't waste my time with that big Kaplan Anatomy book and would concentrate on the Anatomy in First Aid. The path book for Kaplan sucks so use the BRS path which is great.

I would take as much time as you personally need to achieve at least a consistent score of 55% on Qbank (very least).

Luckily, these two topics are the smallest on most people's exam. I'd buy HY Anatomy and HY Biochem.

i agree with big frank on those two subjects on AVERAGE being less represented.

however, i got slammed with anatomy. 30-40 ?s total. fortunately i managed to either remember the details or guess well. i did BRS anatomy ?s (definitely do at least the cumulative exam at the back of the book) as well as Qbank. those 2 sources were very adequate for my exam prep. (in case you're wondering OP i got an asterisk) 2 days total 12 hours/day

i had approx. 20-30 biochem ?s. i went through Lippincott and focused mainly on diagrams/charts/figures and did Kaplan Qbook/Qbank ?s. That was plenty. (asterisk) 4 days total 10 hours/day.

I hope this can help you decide.

I feel your pain. There isn't a day that doesn't go by when I wonder what would have happened if I didn't get a form that had 25-30 Gross Anatomy Questions. Even if I batted .500 on these questions, 12-15 missed questions make a big difference on your score when you are on the far right side of the curve.

While I got very little anatomy questions, my exam had many Biochem questions although I frequently hear that this is the least tested subject. I guess it was the luck of the draw. Upon, coming back home after the test and looking over the Kaplan Biochem, I realized that it would have been so wonderful for me if I just had enough time to read it or any other biochem book. I was more tired of studying than any thing.
