Hi Everyone,

I know that the new cycle started already, but i'm interested in making a comprehensive/ultimate/awesome-o guide to dental school admissions. i mainly want to focus on the an application timeline and logistics about each school. (when schools start reviewing files/conduct interviews). and maybe in the future, get into DAT preparation.

If I'm ambitious, I can probably get a site up and running about a month but I'll need a lots of help.

So, calling all SDN vets, please help me make this happen! All suggestions are welcome.

Please PM if you're interested. Thank you.

You can get the latest edition of "Official Guide to Dental Schools" published by ADEA if you want to.

However, I thought SDN is a better resource.

What was said above: You can get the 2008 Official Guide to Dental Schools. IMO, it is one of the best resources you can have when applying. I also think it is a bit more realistic in terms of applicant pool, because SDN only represents a fraction of actually applicants/enrollees. Don't spend too much of your time erecting a website that is going to have information that people can see from the book, plus the book is probably going to have more information, as it includes everything from GPA/DAT, costs, cirriculum, demographics, instate/outstate, setting, admissions requirements, info on loans, and scholarships. 😎

www.predents.com is great for looking at timing of individual schools in regards to interview invites, interview dates, and acceptances.

The ADEA Guide to DS Admissions is undoubtedly the best source of information. However, the information could be re organized to be more user friendly, which, incidentally, is not the scope of ADEA. While there is an obsession on SDN regarding early application, the timeline is probably the least critical aspect of the application process.
