I think the price tag is compelling when comparing between the two schools. If you ultimately want to work in California, you can make it work. Certainly ask your questions while you have time before deposits are due.

This! You mention you’re worried about being broke in dental school. Unfortunately, with the cost of attendance at either of these schools, you’re gonna be broke after dental school. All the more reason to go to your cheapest option. It’s going to take you a long time to climb out of that financial hole.
