So I have to attend a CC for 24 credit hour before going to the school I've chosen to go to. On top of that I have to start in the winter. My Question is:

Would this effect my chances of getting into medical school?

What should I do for the fall?(Since I'm not attending school)

What classes should take when a start at the CC

And will transferring from 3 different school look bad?

1. Use the search function and you'll get more than enough responses for this

2. This is completely up to you - go work, volunteer, have fun, etc. Why can't you begin the CC in the fall and get more transferable credits?

3. Follow the CC's general guidelines for transfer if transferring to your state university, or follow the transferring institutions recommended coursework for transfer students if transferring to a private or out of state university - you should be able to find this on their admissions website or by calling them.

4. Not sure why its 3 schools? Are you going from your current college to CC and then to chosen university? If so, that doesn't quite make sense? Why would you need to transfer to take classes at a CC if your already at a college where you can take courses? If you can explain this sufficiently then it won't matter at all to adcoms. Additionally, if you do well at all of these schools it also won't matter.

I'm Transferring to 3 different schools due to the reasons being, I'm going to the CC to be able to get into the University that I originally plan on going to, but didn't get in for personal reasons. I was intending to attend at my local university for 2 years and then transfer to Ohio State for my final move, but didn't work out. So now I have to start in the winter quarter, because it is to late to go through my FASFA with reason being classes start in 2 weeks. I also don't wanna attend a CC to long, because I don't want my Medical School Application to be look down upon.

This question has been debated a lot. I have a math class from a CC and it wasn't a big deal for me. Unfortunately, I don't think anyone knows the answer to this question until they have applied to med school and found out if they were accepted or not. I think if you get all A's wherever you choose to whether that's a CC or not, it will be fine. And then when you transfer take upper level science courses to prove that you can do well wherever you take classes! So if you do well, personally my opinion Is that it will not effect your chances of getting into Medical School! 🙂

What should I do for the fall?(Since I'm not attending school)

EC's! For example you can get CNA or EMT certified, get a job, shadow, volunteer at hospitals or for organizations you are passionate about. Whatever you do, stay busy!

What classes should take when a start at the CC

This depends on you. You can start right away with prereqs like taking Gen Chem and Gen Bio and clear other prereqs like humanities or English. The sooner you get actual prereqs out of the way, the sooner you can take your MCAT and apply to med school. Some people are against taking prereqs at CC but I really don't think it's a big deal if you take some of them there. The only thing to keep in mind is that once you transfer you will have to adapt to a 4 yr college's way of teaching and they may be using different books for the second part of a lot of the courses but it probably won't effect you. Just start by taking a few prereqs like calculus, bio, chem, physics (dont take all 4 at the same time!) and then once you transfer out, finish taking prereqs at the 4 yr university or college. That would be my advice. You may also want to speak to your advisors since none of us here are certified in premed advising 😛 I hope this helped. In the end, you will have to make these decisions.

They may question why you transferred three times but I really don't think it will prove to be a big deal. If you are ever asked why in an interview, just give a proper explanation.
