Hi everyone,
I’m going to be a junior this fall and could use some perspective on a decision I've been stuck on. I’ve been involved in a club for a while and recently got the chance to become its president. It’s a legit leadership role and would take up a good amount of time (averaging 10-15 hours per week due to practice times and tournaments). Time I had originally planned to use for MCAT studying (in addition to other time I cut out for it). Ideally, I wanted to knock out the MCAT by next spring. For context, I have three other leadership positions in clubs (all lower level than president and don't take up nearly as much time), so I’m already balancing a few commitments. I’ve considered maybe dropping an extracurricular for this, but they’re all pretty meaningful to me. Would taking on another leadership role like this be worth it, even if it cuts into my test prep? Is this the kind of thing that would really stand out on an application, or is it not as big of a deal as I’m making it out to be? Although, I'm certain this would give me good experiences to write/talk about. I suppose I'm most worried about balancing it all. I’d appreciate any advice!
Thanks in advance.

I should also probably say that I'm on track with other aspects of my application. I am getting clinical hours working as a medical assistant, I've been volunteering at a hospital, and I am part of a research team, and I have a plan to get my shadowing hours this summer. I was part of the university orchestra for my first year and may decide to continue that if I don't pursue this position (would relatively be less of a time commitment)

If you do this sport for exercise & fun, keep doing it but turn down the admin role. Study time for the MCAT is more important
