Help needed...

here is my situation. I am 4th year pharmacy student, due to family emergency couldn't finish one of my rotations. Therefore, I wont get my degree on May until I finish that rotation. If I get lucky and get my rotation starting June, I will be done the first week of July. Now, I got a job offer that tells me the requirement is to graduate in May and also be a licensed pharmacist 120 days after graduation. Does anybody know if they give the degree on August or right after I am done with my rotation on July? Do you have any suggestion what I should tell to the company who sent me the offer? I really don't want to miss this opportunity, I have to provide for my family and my parents and this is my only chance at this point.

Have you been working with your school? It seems like they should be doing all they can to help....if you had a valid reason for not finishing the rotation. I would think that your school could help you finish the rotation as close to on time as possible.

I know... unfortunately the person in charge of the rotations is some one who enjoys to see people suffering (everybody at school knows that so they try to avoid him as much as possible), I also talked to the dean and he told me they will do whatever they can but at the end that specific person is in charge.

I don't see how any of us could possibly answer this question. The answer has to come from your school.

How do you deal with the company; do you tell them the situation from the beginning and take the risk or you wait till last minute to see what is going to happen...?

I would tell the person in charge of hiring the truth. You're dealing with a lot of "if" situations here and I wouldn't want to gamble with a potential job. They might be able to work with you.

I agree. Come May, they are going to know that you haven't graduated. They would be more likely to take away the job then because you can't meet the requirements. By telling them now, there is a greater chance that they can work with you to change the terms of your contract.
