General chem 2=A in lab an "F" in lecture
microbio=C lecture D=lab

All other sciences=A And B's
i will retake general chem 2 and micro over the summer, and DAT.
Overall Gpa=3.0
science=2.7

Do i have any changes of getting into dental school?

any advices welcome..

I haven't really jumped into my grades and thinking about the apps yet but, I would assume that a little work on those grades would help. Retaking them is definately a plus.

I would definitely retake anything under a C and maybe another class (or more) you got a C in. I think that it might be ok to have a C in gen chem I because it was probably one of your starting science classes so it is understandable to be a little lower to account for adjustment. If you want to be more competitive, you've got to raise yoru GPA. I think it is awesome that you are committed to doing better, if you keep it up, your improvement would be an excellent topic to bring up at your interviews! Best of luck to you with your classes and the DAT!

Here's a little sunshine 🙂

Take your own advice and keep the big picture in mind. I've had some setbacks along the way and I've doubted whether or not I could cut the mustard. But looking at the big picture, I really want to be a dentist when I'm in my 40's, with a great family and maybe a boat??? If it takes retaking a class or two or even an extra year of undergrad to pull my gpa up, than that's what I'm gonna do, becuase when I'm 40 I won't care that I spent a little extra time and effort. But if I gave up my dream than I'd likely regret that very much.

Here's a little reality check 😱

The grade is in the book so you can't change that now, but what you MUST do is really ask yourself what led you to perform so far below your potential. I've had to correct a lot of bad study habits myself and it takes introspection, honesty, and self discipline to do what you know you should.

Good luck 👍

??This is Darksunshine's (aka Dark) second time applying to dental school and after being turned down last cycle and putting in a lot of effort this time around it's great to see her get some hard-earned acceptances. 🙂
